Drumroll…today is the day!
I am pleased to share the results of the full bathroom renovation with you. It was a labor of love and I feel a satisfied with the way it all came together.
I will have the professional photo-shoot in August, but until then, here are a few pictures of the renovated bathroom.
Below is the picture of the vanity before and after. We created more storage by using a large mirrored medicine cabinet in lieu of the older vanity.
We updated the space using a modern floating vanity in walnut that provided ample storage space. The accent wall was painted in Pigeon Gray by Benjamin Moore. The coolness of the gray paint offset the warmth of the walnut perfectly as imagined. The brass sconces by Triple7Recycled were a sweet find! They add a touch a of vintage style and metallic shine to the design.
I especially like the way that the 2 display shelves replace then former mirrored side cabinet. The details such as the shower head and handles really modernize the space. We used a set of Hansgrohe towel rods, ring, robe hook and soap dish to accessorize the bath.
An update to the general room lighting was essential in transforming the space. If I could only change 2 things about a room, I always look to lighting and paint selection in the beginning. The recessed LED lighting provides a crisp white light and energy saving advantages in the long run. I love the way the lighting reflects off of the marble surface.
All the details in the marble finishing make the space truly customized. From the marble baseboards, the buffed marble edging on the shower, to the honed marble shower floor tiles this space is one of a kind.
Overall, you can see how the bathroom flows together…from the enlarged shower surround to the modern sink.
The best part was sharing the results with Lulu and Matt. Lulu was a big part of designing the space. I know they are going to enjoy it for many years to come.
***We have since added see through frameless glass shower doors. I will save the pictures of these for the reveal of the pro photos in August.***
