Portfolio: Photo Peak

Today is a day for me to truly celebrate because I have gotten many of my to-dos accomplished over the past couple of weeks. Not to worry, I won’t bore you with a list of them. Although, I will admit that this photo peak and portfolio refresh was one of them!  Also, it was probably was the one task that I have felt the most joy and enthusiasm about doing. I started working on the detailed job of updating my blog and portfolio in January 2012, and slowly it is becoming what was envisioned.  Last summer, I began Ivonne’s Living and Dining room. Thankfully, now with the photographic expertise of Amelia Tabullo, I am finally able to share Ivonne’s beautiful, natural, light-filled space with you! When I think back to starting commercial and residential design work in 2008. Time really has flown by and lucky for me this blog has helped me tremendously in recording the details of those projects, inspirations, and designs.

It’s all the details that make designing interesting, like in creating this custom chandelier recast in oil rubbed bronze,

or this lockset that takes on a 2nd life after being recast. A simple update from brass to deep bronze renewed the hardware while revealing the timelessness of it’s shape..

As this chair was given a new cushion and coat of paint, we knew it would fit perfectly in the entryway of the space.

There is so much to love about the feeling of this living space. I enjoy how the natural textures of soft faux fur, wood, seagrass, linen, and cotton combine within the room. You can see more of this Living and Dining Room design here.

In the coming weeks, I will slowly unveil all the recent portfolio pictures and updates! I would love to hear your thoughts on the evolution of Pink Pianos as a space to relate as artists, designers, and inspired enthusiasts.
