Textiles of the East

Today, I’d like to share with you another site Fibercopia that I came across this weekend. I’ve been on the hunt for original textiles and I like how these worldly designs are off the beaten path.

1. South Sulawesi 2. Ikat 3. Suzani 4. Obi Fabric 5.Tammis Keefe 6. Chinese Bridal Blanket 7. George Haite

Then, I saw this one by Itchiku Kubota employing his yuzen technique.

I am an admirer of his work.

Later this week I promise a final peak at Eva’s room.

Oh, thanks for sharing! I love these textiles and am right in the middle of designing some patterns at the moment – loving the inspiration. Itchiku Kubota is fantastic!
