I love how these fresh garlands infuse the home with color and a wonderful scent. I was lucky to come across a garland designer via a mutual friend. In fact, she makes breathtaking designs like these daily.

Now she will work with us to design the garlands for our wedding. According to the Hindu tradition, both of us will wear and exchange them.
Look at this little bud bracelet below! Maybe something similar could be made as a headband for a flower girl.

I hung these other garlands in our bedroom and in my art studio. They add grace and whimsy to the rooms.

I couldn’t resist wearing one myself! The carnations below both coral with pink edges are the exact shade I am imagining…

We are coming one step closer to the wedding!

I find I am most calm and at peace when surrounded by the beauty of nature. This Labor Day weekend I caught some relaxation time by disconnecting from the city.

The Mildred E. Mathias botanical gardens at UCLA proved to be the perfect place to get lost in the foliage.

The history of this garden is quite intriguing and can be viewed at the site home.
As I type I can smell this hand picked bouquet of wild roses. Don’t worry~I didn’t filch these from the garden!

A quaint french restaurant and garden shop on south Robertson sells them. Best of all you can sip tea on the patio amongst the flowers. Ahh~Abundance!
On that note, I’d like to invite you all to the Art and Music fundraiser for the Strongheart Fellowship this Thursday at Gallery 1018. It is going to be a total blast featuring music and tons of art for a good cause.
I can’t think of a better reason to go out this Thursday!
You can always e-mail me at hilary.hahn@pinkpianos.com with any questions.
I hope to see you there!

Today, I’m thrilled to introduce to you and old acquaintance.
Once upon a time, there was a chair….
She’d seen alot in her time and her red velvet cushion was becoming shabby.
She desperately needed a little love!

After stripping the old veneer off her and sanding her down she looked a bit plain.
She glowed with hand mixed color, a combo of lavender, grey, white, and red; developing a brilliance that was all her own. Selective sanding lent an air of sophistication to her sheen.

Freshly reupholstered with a vibrant vintage inspired print from Martha Negley and comfy new cushion, she is ready to charm guests all over again.

Good things do come to those who wait. Contact me here, if you’d like to take her home with you.
